VINYASA & BASIC YOGA

Do you want to breathe, open and balance your body and mind? Then, maybe its time to get (back?) to the mat! This class is an active class suitable for a wide range of students, even beginners, if they have no back problems and are in reasonable shape. Vinyasa yoga is a perfect practice for the morning being both energising and calming. After a simple warmup with hip and shoulder openers, the class weaves standing poses and sun salutes into a fluid sequence that brings body, breath and mind together in a harmonious way. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Vinyasa Yoga is taught by Mary Paffard. Basic Yoga is taught by Mary Paffard (Thursday) and Teri Matlock (Monday). Mary Paffard has been studying yoga since the early 70s and teaching since 1985 in Northern California, nationally and internationally. She has directed many teacher training programs and was the Director of Teacher Training at Yoga Mendocino from 2000-2010.

Mary uses meditation, imagery and a playful curiosity to explore the body inside and out, and is well able to adapt the practice to each student's needs.
